Meet with the UC Student Regents and learn how to become one

Dear Students,

The Student Regent Alfredo Mireles and Student Regent-designate Jonathan Stein are visiting the Berkeley campus on Wednesday, February 8th!

For those of you who may not be familiar with the student regents, the selected student representatives sit on the 26 member Board of the Regents, which governs the University of California.  The Regents make decisions on issues such as personnel, student fees, admissions, financial aid, and campus development among many other topics. You could be the next student regent!

Student Reg anent Mireles and Student Regent-designate Stein will be hosting an informational luncheon for all students; food and drinks will be provided. The date and time are as follows:

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2012

4:00 PM – 5:30 PM at the All-Purpose Meeting Room of Unit 1 located at 2650 Durant (ground level of Unit 1)

At this event, Alfredo Mireles and Jonathan Stein will be discussing the process of becoming a student regent and issues concerning our student body today. Our UC system is at an important stage where student involvement is more important than it has ever been before. Be sure to come out and be a part of this dialogue!
