Campus MovieFest!

Campus MovieFest is BACK! CMF is excited to return to Berkeley for another round of film-making after a fantastic showing and overwhelming response from last year!

Campus MovieFest is the world’s LARGEST student film festival, and is FREE AND OPEN to all Berkeley students, faculty, and staff! CMF will give you everything you need to make your own 5 minute short film in a week, including an Apple Macbook Pro with Final Cut Pro, a Panasonic HD camera, a microphone and tripod, and 24-hour technical support and seminars throughout the week, all for FREE! The top 16 films will be showcased at the Berkeley red carpet finale event, and the top 3 will be selected to compete in the Grand Finale in Los Angeles against filmmakers all across the country!

This year’s prizes include over $30,000 in cash, gear, professional gigs, industry exposure, and potentially having your film screened at the Cannes Film Festival!

Again, this is FREE AND OPEN to all Berkeley students, faculty, and staff with valid school ID!

To sign up, go to before September 5th, and click “Participate in Event.” Follow the instructions to confirm your account. On September 5th, come to the Senate Chamber any time between 12PM and 5PM to pick up your equipment.
