Working in the ASUC Office of the Executive Vice President.
Hello California Golden Bears! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Justin Sayarath and I am honored to serve as your 2012-2013 ASUC Executive Vice President. I am a third year economics major originally from San Diego, California. I have served our campus community as Vice President of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, Assistant Vice President of Programming for the Interfraternity Council, Managing Editor of Caliber Magazine, a Cal Student Orientation (CalSO) Counselor, and an ASUC Senator. My experiences at Cal have been defined by the student organizations I have been involved in and as a Senator, I had the pleasure of serving over 150 student organizations. My hope is that this year as your Executive Vice President, I can bring you valuable resources so that you can continue doing the things that you love to do. Whether it be service, political activism, dancing, singing, or anything in between, the Executive Vice President’s office is here to preserve and develop quality student life.
This will be a year of massive change for your student government. And this is why I encourage you to get involved. With the upcoming deconstruction of Eshleman Hall and the construction of a newer more vibrant student center, the Executive Vice President’s office will be working on every issue ranging from student group space allocations to entertaining programming for students to engagement with local businesses. There is so much to be done next year and I hope that you will join me in enriching the Cal community and supporting student organizing in all realms by applying to the ASUC Executive Vice President’s Office.
