Dear all,
“Time is running out!! Governor Brown has until October 9th to sign AB 131 – the California Dream Act Part II. AB 131 would make undocumented/AB 540 students eligible for Cal Grants and other state financial aid for college.

If YOU ARE an Educator, Business Owner, Religious Leader, College Graduate, or other Professional PLEASE urge Gov. Brown to pass AB 131 by reading the petition and adding your name to the list of signatories:http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/2119/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=8269

If you ARE NOT a professional or hold a college degree, but would like to sign the petition you can sign the alternate version here:http://www.change.org/petitions/support-and-pass-the-ca-dream-act-2

PETITION SIGNATURES will be delivered in-person to Governor Brown no later than Friday.

There are TWO other ways that you can pressure Governor Brown to sign this important piece of legislation.

FIRST: share the petition link with five educators, religious leaders, elected officials, business owners, college graduates, and other professionals.

SECONDLY: Call Governor Brown and Ask Him to Sign the DreamAct
– Call 916-445-2841
– Press 1 for English
– Then press 2
– Then press 1
– Lastly, press 1 to vote YES for AB 131 – The CA DREAM ACT!
– If you get a busy signal – please keep trying!

We have less than 4 DAYS to pressure Governor Brown to do the right thing. Let’s mobilize to ensure that AB131 becomes California law!”
